The McCloud Chamber of Commerce and the Great Shasta Rail Trail Association invite you to have a day of fun in historic McCloud. The 2015 event will include mountain and road bike rides. The registration form is available below. To register on line, go to

McCloud Dam Road Bike Ride - 30 miles (2-3 hrs) Moderate to Difficult
This very picturesque "rolling hills" ride begins on McCloud Main Street, through town onto Squaw Valley Road.  Wind your way around  McCloud Lake to the Dam and return.  Fall colors and the Mt Shasta views are spectacular. One rest stop with food and water will be provided.

McCloud Scenic Short Road Bike Ride - 12.5 miles (1 hr) Easy to Moderate
The ride begins on Main Street, through town and onto Squaw Valley Road.  The ride out to the turn-around rest stop at Friday's Resort is a gradual downhill.  The return ride is uphill back to downtown McCloud.

The Great Shasta Marathon Mountain Bike Ride - 30 miles (3 - 4 hrs) Moderate to Difficult
All riders meet in downtown McCloud at 7:30 am for registration. PROMPTLY at 8:30 am, riders are bused to Algoma Campsite with bikes following in a trailer. The first 13 miles are a moderate, somewhat technical single track on the McCloud River Trail. Full service Rest Stop at Lakin Dam, then onto Bigelow Meadow Road, crossing Highway 89 to connect to the Great Shasta Rail Trail. The ride ends in downtown McCloud.

McCloud Mountain Bike Short Ride - 12 miles (1 hr) Easy to Moderate
The ride begins on Main Street, tours the Old Mill property, crosses Pilgrim Creek Road and onto Great Shasta Rail Trail.  Rest stop turn-around at a bridge over Mud Creek.  Return to McCloud.

Professional Cyclo-cross Races - These are presented and sponsored by "Ride-On-Race" Series. Different riding skills for each race, including novice and children's categories that can be entered on race day. The free kid's race is for 12 & under. Riders under 18 must have a responsible adult sign for them.

The fun will continue downtown, with music, booths, beer.
