MISSION

The McCloud Chamber of Commerce envisions McCloud as a historically preserved, well-rounded, and friendly community which offers a wide range of services to its families and visitors. The Chamber focuses on the promotion and development of financially strong, viable businesses within the region while enhancing the community lifestyle.

To support this vision, the McCloud Chamber is building a large and enthusiastic membership, enhancing existing businesses, encouraging new opportunities and promoting tourism. The Chamber’s goals are to promote development of major businesses, provide personnel and entrepreneurial business development tools, access to critical training and aggressive promotion of the region.

Through its efforts, the McCloud Chamber has contributed to creating a business community that has enhanced and protected the natural and historic resources of McCloud to the benefit, enjoyment and pride of both local citizens and the increasing numbers of tourists.

Quentin zahara, President

Born in Redding and raised in Cottonwood, moved to McCloud in 2019. The move to McCloud came as a restart in life with his daughter after losing his wife. In the time Quentin has been in McCloud, he has been the Captain for EMS of the McCloud Fire Department, founded the Annual McCloud Treasure Hunt, and is currently the operations manager of Siskiyou Brew works.

“In the time I have lived in McCloud, I have come to love this town and its people in the community. I hope to bring new ideas to help McCloud businesses and community prosper and further succeed”.

JEANA RONFELDT, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jeana was born and raised here in McCloud until she moved away in 2013 to finish her schooling at University of Nevada, Reno. After meeting her now husband in Reno, she moved to Southern California where she finished her schooling with a Bachelors degree in Marketing and Sports & Entertainment Marketing. She and her husband moved back in 2017 and welcomed a baby girl in 2018 and a son in 2021. They now own and operate a fabrication and race shop out of the old auto shop building in McCloud.

 

Missi Bullington, director

Missi was raised in Mt. Shasta and she is the proud descendent of local pioneers. She married her husband, Walt, shortly after graduation and they moved out of the area to pursue their careers. They lived and worked in the Redding area for thirty years and raised three daughters. Professionally, Missi has owned a graphic design and sign business, worked in school administration, and eventually retired as the Director of Personnel in county administration. Having a vacation home in McCloud encouraged her to retire back where she grew up. Missi now lives in McCloud full time and operates a vacation rental.

JUDITH SARTI, DIRECTOR

Judith and her husband Tom (son of Mary and Albert Sarti) have been coming to McCloud for over 50 years to visit family and vacation. Their dream to retire here came true July 7, 2019. Before moving to McCloud, Judith spent 35 years serving the Elk Grove Unified School District in a variety teaching and administrative positions. She also volunteered and supported her three children in the numerous activities and organizations they participated in from sports, to 4H, Girl Scouts, PTA president and Catechism teacher. McCloud has become near and dear to her heart. Her passion for volunteerism and education has led her to become an active member of many organizations in McCloud, including the Fireman’s Association and the Garden Club. Judith also serves as Editor of the American Legion Post 92 Newsletter, Coordinator of Religious Education for St. Anthony’s and St. Joseph’s Catholic Churches. She is also a McCloud Community Resource Team Board Member, serving as Coordinator of Elementary Age Youth and Director of the future McCloud Summer Day Camp. Judith looks forward to serving the community for many years to come.

 

Julie Ponzini, DIRECTOR

My husband Dan and I are the new owners of the McCloud River Bed & Breakfast. In 1989 I began my 32 year career in the sheet metal industry. 20 years ago I opened a bakery named Sugarcastles. For the past 10 years we've been deeply involved with St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Cotati where I'm the cook and caterer for all events taking place in the parish. Moving to McCloud has been a dream of ours and I'd be honored to be on the Board where I can share my talents, skills, and experience.

 

Angelina Cook , DIRECTOR

Angelina Cook moved to McCloud in 2009 and works to advance environmental health, democratic governance, and sustainable economic revitalization. Angelina serves on the boards of the Great Exchange Thrift Shop and McCloud Watershed Council. She has assisted with grant acquisition for infrastructural upgrades, and is currently working to replenish beaver populations in the McCloud River and its tributaries.  Angelina loves to mountain bike, ski, ice skate, swim in alpine water, and practice yoga. In order to improve representation of McCloud and other underserved rural communities, Angelina is running for Siskiyou County Supervisor, District 1 in the March 5, 2024 primary election.

 

Zack griset, DIRECTOR

Zack Griset has been visiting McCloud since 2008 and has been living in McCloud full-time since 2020. Zack is a Children's Book Author and a Video Game Developer. He enjoys skiing, fly fishing, and exploring the beautiful Mt. Shasta area. Zack is excited to be a contributing member of the community and a new member to the Chamber.
