This coming school year, the music program cost will be $7,300. McCloud School can provide $5,000. Young Imaginations raised $1,000 in donations. The McCloud Chamber of Commerce is partnering with our local community to raise the final $1,300 which will make this program happen. Donate below or attend our upcoming Bluegrass Festival and Apple Harvest Festival. Proceeds from tip jars at the beer booth will be dedicated to this program. Thanks in advance for your generosity.

MCCLOUD BEAUTIFICATION

McCloud Beautification Projects

Local community members have coordinated efforts with the McCloud Chamber of Commerce to plan and initiate improvement projects that improve the image of McCloud from the standpoint of locals and visitors. As the country has not budgeted for this work, a grassroots local effort will raise funds and recruit volunteers for these projects. The first two projects are in process via a request to utilize CalFIRE crews as they are available and scheduled.

The current list of projects include:

  • Repair split rail fence from Colombero and along Hwy 89

  • Brush and clear Colombero/Hwy 89 intersection and along split rail fencing into mail entrance to town

  • Install framework for banner event signage use at Colombero/Hwy 89 intersection

  • Erect welcome signage at the main entrance to town

  • Design and install/replace historical marker signage throughout town

  • Landscape beautification

  • Replace bus stop bench on Main Street

  • A fund raising effort will be undertaken in the near future to help pay for these projects.

Directional Signage from Main Street McCloud to the GSRT

The McCloud Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Great Shasta Rail Trail to raise funds to pay for directional signage from downtown McCloud to the beginning of the Great Shasta Rail Trail (at Pilgrim Creek Road). Permissions have already been granted through County and private property. The total cost of this project is estimated at $3,000.

The Chamber will act as a portal for funds which will go directly to the GSRT. Note: our payment portal service charges us approximately a 3% fee per transaction. If you wish 100% of your donation to go directly to GSRT, please make your check payable to GSRT and mail it to PO BOX 221, McCloud, CA 96057. GSRT is a 501(c)3 so donations are tax deductible.
